Prep for Travel

May 7, 2025 REAL ID will be in effect for all DOMESTIC (within the USA) air travel and certain federal facilities. IF you don't have other federally approved identification sources i.e. passport, global entry, etc, you MUST have the REAL ID. Click here to learn more https://www.dhs.gov/real-id

Passports are required for international air travel, including cruises that embark from an international country. Some countries also require a VISA. Passport cards are NOT VALID for international travel. Most countries require passport to be valid for at least 6 months after travel return date. Click below for additional travel requirements. 

The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) is a free service to allow  U.S. citizens and nationals traveling and living abroad to enroll their  trip with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

Protect your travel investment not for just cancellations but unforeseen issues as well. If travel insurance is not included in your travel quote, inquire about it with your travel agent/advisor. If you decline you should be given a waiver to sign.

Notify your bank/credit cards of your travel plans  (dates and countries/states) before you begin traveling to ensure any transactions made are not declined and avoiding fraud alerts/holds.

If you have a disability or medical condition inform your travel advisor or contact the location to inform of your needs ahead of time. You can call the airport or include needs during air booking if you need wheelchair assistance. If cruising inquire about an accessible room to accommodate you and any special equipment.
